Johnson County has been my home my entire life. I choose to live here, raise my family here, and operate my business here because I think this county has always embodied the best in American values and hometown culture.

As a member of this community, I've donated my time and energy to making this a better place to live. At times, that has meant serving as a director and president of the Johnson County Chamber of Commerce. At other times, I serve as a board member of the E-911, Johnson County Health Center and I volunteer my time for worthy causes such as the American Cancer Societies Relay for Life and Community Assistance Team. Currently, I am honored to have been serving the fine citizens of Mountain City for eight years as Alderman on the Mountain City Town Council and elected in 2007 by those people as Mayor.

I have always tried to be an official elected into the position of service, not power and influence, this is an important point that any elected official should remember. Elected officials are elected as a service to the people to provide for them a better way of life without prejudice or pride.

I will always do the right thing or make it right.
